Old Woman Point (don’t know the origin of the name), that piece of rock jutting out into the sea at the northern end of Port Kingstown, and English, the watchman, who lived at Fort Charlotte and whose job it was to hoist the flag to inform the Customs that a ship was approaching, and also to sound the alarm if some boat was in distress.
