It Hurts - Endeavour feels it for her niece

bAmbrozine Endeavour, aunt of Kellishaw Ollivierre, is not hiding her feelings about the loss of her 24-year-old niece. Kellishaw was one of six women who perished in a blaze at Campus Trendz in Bridgetown last Friday evening.

Tit Bits

There are two names which were bandied about on Saturday mornings several years ago. Old Woman Point (don’t know the origin of the name), that piece of rock jutting out into the sea at the northern end of Port Kingstown, and English, the watchman, who lived at Fort Charlotte and whose job it was to hoist the flag to inform the Customs that a ship was approaching, and also to sound the alarm if some boat was in distress.


Three Awarded Bursaries from Mustique Charitable Trust

Three students from the University of the West Indies Open Campus received 50% bursaries from the Mustique Charitable Trust last Tuesday as part of the organization’s aim to help persons in need pursue higher education.


There is SCOPE for disadvantaged students

For this academic year, eleven students will benefit from scholarships through the SCOPE Foundation.  These bursaries are for those who are unable to effectively access primary or secondary education because of a lack of basic resources.
